Another weekend, another win for WDT. This time it was Team Captain Voytek Glinkowski, who won the Peoria Proctor Cycling Classic State Championship in 30+/40+ division. The race started with a field of 46, including all the usual suspects. Team MACK, XXX, and the Chicago Wheelmen were all sporting large contingents. Team Mack set the pace from the beginning. Then the attacks began, but none was destined to succeed. With about 700 meters to go, Voytek put the hammer down and pedaled himself inside-out for the finish line.
In the CAT 3 race, Kris Kuttler have a great race, coming 6th and Joe Farris finished 34th. Doug Peterson finished 13th in the 30+ Division.
On Monday, Voytek and Doug participated in the Master Nationals TT in
Louisville
KY. Doug pulled a great time of 56:51 for 17th place. Voytek finished in 57:27 for 24th place.

The race featured five stages with the final results being based on cumulative time. After a tough start at the opening criterium, Tomasz placed in top four in each of the last four stages. In addition to finishing 3rd in the CAT 3 General Classification, Tomasz finished 38th overall.

WDT made a great showing this weekend at the Carol County Road Race. With 60 miles of steep climbs and extreme descents WDT came out on top. The team scored one victory and everyone finished in the top ten. This week Kris Kuttler kept the team's winning streak alive, with his first win since his accident! Joining Kris in the CAT 3 race were Derric Ungaro and Voytek Glinkowski, who finished 6th and 7th respectively.
The team's second best finish of the day came from Doug Peterson, who placed 2nd in the Masters 30+ division after attacking the field multiple times.
In CAT 4, Jason Torres finished 4th in the largest field of the day. Jason helped set the pace in the hills, chased-down several breaks in the flats, and sprinted to what may have been his best finish ever. Jason was followed by Dennis Sandquist, who finished 8th.
Richard Adamcyzk finished 7th in the Masters 50+ division.
May 31st & June 1st
The cycling season is in full speed. WDT had a great weekend of racing in Winfield. Richard Adamczyk kept the team's winning streak alive. He won the Twilight Criterium Master 50+ event with a passionate sprint. Richard has hit his form and this is his first win for the 2008 season.
Several additional team members had great races, which can not always be confirmed only by winning. For starters, Tomazs Boba, as usual, posted impressive results. He placed 2nd on Saturday and 4th on Sunday in CAT 2/3. Both races featured tough, tough fields and Tomasz performed great. On Saturday, Tomasz was on a 2-man chase pursuing a solo breakaway rider, who they caught with two laps to go. Then the game of cat and mouse began and Tomasz just missed the sprint victory.
Kris Kuttler also completed great races. In the same tough CAT 2/3 races with Tomazs, he placed 10th on Saturday and 11th on Sunday. Kris is back from his cycling injury.
Dennis Sandquist had the best performance of his "cycling life" on Sunday, when he placed 4th. Combined with his 8th place finish on Saturday, he should still be at the top of the TOI/W point standings for CAT 4.
WDT team members Maciek Kurka, Voytek Glinkowski, Chris Gola, and Albeiro Pineda all contributed to a great weekend of racing in Winfield. Complete results are available from ABD:
