WDT participated in two separate TT races on Sunday, April 20th. Reed Oliff competed in the Chicago Time Trial Series inaugural event, the Sugar Grove 30k TT. Reed placed first in the Masters 40+ division and third in the Elite 4/5 division. Reed also earned 6 sprint points for posting the third fastest sprint for the final 300 meters. The Chicago Time Trail Series will award a Green Jersey to the rider with the most sprint points at the end of the series.

Valley 30k TT. Approximately 150 racers participated in the event which was held on a course of rolling hills, with variable wind conditions, and at least one section of rough pavement caused a few crashes. All three WDT riders finished on the podium. Doug Peterson is back to business. He won the CAT 3 division with a time of 43:50.7. Richard Adamczyk placed second in the Masters 50+ division with a time of 44:07.34. Voytek Glinkowski placed third in CAT 3 with a time of 44:47.34.

Six WDT riders made the long trek north to compete in the Menomonee Park Crit. Despite the less than optimistic forecast, the weather was nearly perfect for early Spring racing. The 1.9-mile course wound around the park with plenty of curves and small rises. A sharp, 90-degree turn before the short finishing straight away made placement important to success in the final sprint. With nothing on the line, nearly all the WDT riders competed in multiple events.
The Team's best performance came from Tomasz Boba, who won the prime and placed 2nd overall in the CAT 3 race. Tomasz also place 15th in the CAT 1/2/3 race. Tomasz was very active and made several attempts to escape in both races. In the Masters CAT 3/4 race, Chris Gola placed 10th followed by Dennis Sandquist in 20th and Richard Adamcyzk in 21st. In the Masters 4/5 race, Voytek Glinkowski placed 10th followed by Dennis Sandquist in 19th. Jason Torres suffered enough bad luck for the whole season. He was taken down in a crash early in the Masters 3/4 race. He had enough time to get his finger taped and switch his wheels before the Masters 4/5 race. Unfortunately, and nearly unbelievably, he was taken down in a pile up on the final lap of that race.

The weather for today's Single Bong 20km TT may have been more than ugly, but the results for WDT were very pretty. At times, wind gusts exceeded 20 mph and for one 5 km stretch of road the riders faced a direct headwind that, combined with the rolling hills, made it difficult for even top racers to exceed 15 mph.
Despite the rough conditions about 200 riders competed. Team WDT-Allvoi performed a clean sweep in CAT 3 with Tomasz Boba, Voytek Glinkowski, and Doug Peterson finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. After missing the outdoor TT season opener due to a lingering illness, Reed Oliff was back with a vengeance. Reed won the 40+ division; Derric Ungaro took 2nd place in the 30+ division; and Richard Adamczyk took 4th in the 50+ division, despite leaving the start house 30-seconds late.
