Today in the Bensenville Criterium #2 in CAT 3, Tomasz Boba got upset after being closed down the last few days.  With three laps to go he bridged the last 100 yards to a three man break.  When they refused to cooperate, Tomasz attacked and won the race.  Chris Gola also had another strong race in CAT 3.

In Masters 30+ Voytek Glinkowski took second place for the second day in a row.  Today, he was on a two man break away, but was beat in the sprint by Jeff Holand of Team XXX.

Albeiro Pineda had a good race in CAT 4/5, taking 15th place in the front pack.

July 13, 2008, Super Week Part 1

Here we are again - Super Week! Last year Tomasz Boba put on a beautiful performance.  Blue Island was the first event.  In the CAT 3 race, a break of 5 got away without Tomasz.  To make things even, he won a cash prime and finished second from the peleton in the field sprint for 7th place overall.  In the Master's 30+ race, Voytek Glinkowski tried a solo breakaway.  He gained a maximum advantage of 15 seconds before being swallowed up by the peleton.  He ended up finishing 13th.

Day Two - what a day.  Tomasz Boba had his best ever cycling performance.  He demolished the field of 73 riders in the CAT 3 race in Olympia Fields.  Right from the start the tempo sky rocketed.  With about 9 laps to go, Tomasz created a gap of about 150 yards over the pack.  A five man chase group couldn't catch Tomasz and he won with about 7 yards to spare.

Voytek Glinkowski took 4th place in 30+ race.  He won the field sprint after three guys got away on a breakaway.  Albeiro Pineda took 21st place in the CAT 4 race.  Chris Gola made a great effort in CAT 3 staying in the middle of the war for 90% of the race.

After two day of Super Week, Tomasz is the leader of the CAT 3 General Classification and Voytek is 4th in the 30+ Division.

July 6

The Team started July with a bang by sporting its largest contingent of the season for the ABR State Criterium Championships in Wood Dale.

The Team's best result came from one of its newest racers. Czarek Mudrewicz started the day for the team with a solid 7th place finish in CAT 5.  Czarek helped control the race from the beginning and was never out of the lead group.

Albiero Pinenda, Maciek Kurka, Dennis Sandquist, and Jason Torres all competed in the CAT 4 race.  Jason stuck to the plan of riding in the top 10 all the time. For most of the race, Maciek was also at the front of the pack.  He is racing better and better.  In the end, Dennis took advantage of his experience to move up in the field.  Dennis finished 7th, Jason finished 8th, Maciek finished 26th, and Albeiro 38th, out of a field of over 60 starters.

In CAT 3 race, Chris Gola spent nearly the full 55 minutes on the front.  He's coming back strong and finished 7th.  Kris Kuttler finished 10th. Team leader Voytek Glinkowski tried to shake things up in the peleton with one lap to go, but to no avail.  He finished with the pack.

Derric Ungaro finished in the main pack in both the Master 30+ and CAT 3 races.  During the Master 30+ race, he did a lot of work at the front of the peleton.  In CAT 3, Joe Farris also finished with the pack.
