It has been a long month of racing with the whole superweek series and the Chicago Criterium - in its second year. Mr. James Londono took the overall win in the 30+ 4/5 6 day series for superweek. A very big congratulations to James. Tomek Boba did a fantastic job in the 1/2/3 30+ taking second overall in the GC even while he flatted on a double points road race with no wheel van following the group.
The chicago critierium brought a very noticable result in the 3's race. Ricardo Otero took the 3rd step of the podium! Tomek manage to toe the line with the big guns in the Pro/1/2 race that was 200 strong and came in 46th.

WDT-Allvoi had a very nice weekend
for the kick-off of superweek. In the 3's race Waylon and Ricardo managed to
get into a break away with 9 others which eventually dwindled to 7. They
lapped the field with three to go . Waylon managed to get second overall and
Ricardo placed 4th.
Tomek raced in the 30+ 1/2/3 race. He placed 3rd in the field sprint and 9th
overall ????? it looked to be a very difficult race.
James and Albeiro race in the 4/5?????s
where they managed to get through missing out on the fun filled four crashes.
James placed 5th while Albeiro placed 14th.
As for Sunday we have a leader in
the overall GC! James Londono placed 3rd in the Elgin road race
taking first overall!
Ricardo raced well again taking 5th
overall and 2nd in the field sprint. There was a 3 man break that
managed to stay away. Chris Gola had an unfortunate flat on the second lap into
the 50 mile race. Tomek also flatted unfortunately in the 30+ 1/2/3 race.

Wow!
What a race! The WDT Cat 3s came out in force today. First, Waylon
takes off by himself after a prime. The work begins. Ric and Chris go
the front incessantly to block for the first 30 minutes. Then Derric
bridges to the break to assist Waylon. The blocking effort continues in
the peleton. Ric manages to bridge to the break and adds new energy to
the 5 escapees. Again, the blocking effort continues in peleton. On the
last lap, Waylon cracks off a very long, fantastic surge leading Ric to
the state title. As if that weren't enough, Waylon finishes 2nd and
both he and Ric won primes. Too much fun.
Voytek was feeling very frisky today. He takes off several times
in the beginning of the 40+ stimulating a split in the field resulting
in a 12 man break in which Ric managed to participate. He also finished
in the top 20 in what looked like a very fast 1-2-3 field.
